ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Aubree Blanchard Jennings and I’ve worked as a professional journalist since December 2022.

I’m a digital content producer skilled in interviewing and reporting, news verification, video production and social media content creation.

I currently work at KUTV 2News in Salt Lake City as both a content producer and assignment desk editor, and plan to relocate to New York City in December 2026.

My love for storytelling began well before I ever stepped foot in a newsroom. I grew up in a somewhat nomadic family, moving between the United States and Latin America. As a young adult, I took a brief hiatus from my university education to focus on service in New York City during the global pandemic. I volunteered as a translator in a vaccine center in Washington Heights and served in food pantries in the Bronx. These experiences became the foundation of what would eventually lead me to dedicate my career to journalism.

I received a bachelor’s degree in Communications — Journalism and a minor in International Strategy and Diplomacy from Brigham Young University.

During my time as a student, I was part of a team that won a Student Gracie Award for our work on a short documentary covering the 2023 Maui wildfires. I also won first place for military reporting in the student writing and reporting 2023 SPJ Awards.

I am passionate about journalism’s ability to bridge cultures and ideologies through the simple act of sharing someone’s story.

Take a look around at my portfolio to see some of my work. And of course, feel free to reach out with any inquiries or story pitches.

Thanks for being here,

Aubree B. Jennings
